Bahri sets up new liner service to Jakarta, Indonesia

Bahri Line, a new business unit under Bahri Logistics, continues its business expansion with the expansion of its line services to Jakarta, Indonesia, after reaching an agreement with Caterpillar. Marking the launch of the new service, the Bahri Abha RoCon ship sailing under the flag of Saudi Arabia recently called the port of Tanjung Priok located north of the capital.

Caterpillar is a manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-road diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.

With this new move, Bahri Line will offer direct service from the Mediterranean, Middle East and India to Jakarta, Indonesia. The company will also offer direct service to the United States from the Southeast Asian city. The one-year contract will allow Caterpillar to load its heavy vehicle shipments from Chennai, India to Jakarta onto each Bahri Line vessel.
